Riding tuition for all abilities is offered, starting at beginner progressing to advanced. We offer tuition. ELF also offer experienced riders the opportunity to progress, reach personal targets and gain qualifications. We offer a wide cross section of horses and experienced instructors..
We are very child friendly and offer constructive, progressive and fun lessons.
The children are encouraged to join The Pony Club which ensures steady progression and a sure way to make lots of friends. Whatever your reason for joining us you are sure to receive a warm welcome by our friendly team of Instructors.
You will need to read and fill out a Rider Information & Code Of Conduct Form. Please download the form and print a copy to read and fill out your details. Remember to bring this along on your first booking.
Please arrive 10 mins earlier to sort out hats and equipment if needed. Don’t worry if you haven’t got the right gear (you can hire hats and boots). Sensible footwear (NOT TRAINERS) and casual trousers are better than tight jeans.
We offer riding 7 days a week. The group lessons are at regular times and are graded to ability.

Centre Manager / Chief InstructorJaneen was born and grew up in Zimbabwe. Coming from a totally non horsey family, Janeen has no idea where her interest in horses originated from. Janeen rode competitively in Zimbabwe in all disciplines before moving to UK in 2000. Here she owned a horse and did some low level competing. Janeen has her BSHAI which she attained at Wellingborough in 1984. Janeen teaches all levels at the riding school. Her favourite horse is Billy, – ‘he is a complex character’
Duty ManagerAlarna is a local from Wellingborough.As a child Alarna had friends who rode sparking Alarna’s interest. In addition her mom also rode when she was younger. Alarna began riding here at East Lodge aged 10years, became a weekend helper and eventually had a yard job with us aged 15. Alarna was instrumental in the transition to the new computer system and is now a regular in the office. Alarna holds her BHS Stage 1 in Horse Care and Riding and a BA Hons Degree in Business Management and Marketing. When she was a younger she was a Jack Roan fan – ‘speed and personality’. Now Rocko is her favourite ‘for his cheeky personality and cuddles’.
Instructor / Yard StaffAmber hails from Milton Keynes. Her interest in horses came from her mom who has an extensive horsey background. Amber’s main interest lies in dressage, in which discipline she has competed three times at national level. Amber holds her Pony Club B test and has been instructing for 10 years. Amber teaches all levels at the riding school. Her favourite pony is Tommy – ‘he is my friend’.
ApprenticeElla is a local from Earls Barton. Ella’s love of horses came from riding a donkey on the beach. Ella started riding at age 6, rode till she was 12, gave up and then started again recently. Ella is training for her Level 2 NVQ in Horse Care with Haddon. Her favourite pony is Bobby – ‘he is adorable and gives the best hugs.
Senior InstructorKarina is originally from Bedford. Karina’s interest in riding started as a childhood hobby. Karina has worked on yards involved with hunting, competitions, dealing and riding schools for ten years and for the last 2 years has been self employed. Karina holds her BHS Stage 3 – Equine Massage Diploma, her BHSAI, and is currently studying for a degree in Equine Science. Karina has been teaching for 10 years. Karina teaches all levels at the riding school both groups and privates. Her favourite pony is Alfie –‘happy, well behaved, tries hard at everything and is very cute’.
Duty Manager / Senior InstructorBecky was born in Essex and grew up in Shropshire and then Northampton. Becky’s family is not a horsey family, so Becky has no idea where her enjoyment in horses originated from. Becky started to ride aged 7, began working at yards aged 14 and started her professional exams aged 17. Becky holds her PTT (UKCC Level 2) and has been teaching for 11 years. Becky teaches all levels and ages at the riding school. Becky has 3 favourite ponies, Micki – has a lovely gentle temperament, always looks after his rider and has a pretty face; Rocko – always pleased to see everyone and has a brilliant moustache; Jessie – great fun to ride and has a scopey jump.
Duty Manager /Yard AssistantKaren was born and grew up in Essex. Her interest in horses came from childhood love and pony books. Karen rode as a child and participated in Pony Club, and returned to riding as an adult 6 years ago. Her favourite horse is Toby –‘he is a good all rounder and very handsome’.
Jade Rebecca Clube
Instructor / Yard StaffJade is originally from Twywell. Jade’s interest in horses arose from growing upon a farm. Jade rode from a very young age, started competing when she got her first pony aged 11, cross country and show jumping. Jade holds a Diploma in Equine Science and Biology and her BHS stages 1,2 and 3. Jade has been teaching at East Lodge Farm for 1 year and teaches children’s beginner groups and private lessons to all ages and levels. Jades favourite pony is Rocko – ‘cos he is cheeky and very loveable’.
InstructorChloe was originally from Blackburn in Lancashire. Her interest in horses arose from growing up in the country side in a hunting community. Chloe rode in showing classes from age 4, including winning the North West Open Championships in 2011. In British Dressage, Chloe was one of the champion 5* riders in 2015 and a regional winner, thus qualifying for HOYS. Chloe holds her BHS stages 1 & 2 and her NVQ level 2 – specializing in schooling horses. She plans to take her PTT exam this year. Chloe teaches all levels and all ages at the riding school. Chloe’s favourite pony is Sid – ‘he is misunderstood’.
InstructorCarly is originally from Bedfordshire. Her Mom and Nan rode so she was around horses from when she was little. Carly learnt to ride in Bedfordshire at a small riding school. Currently she has her own novice pony who is not competing yet, but who tries his hand at home at hacking, dressage and x country. Whilst studying for her degree, Carly fell into teaching and has been teaching for 5 years; she attained her UKCC Level 2 in August 2016. Carly teaches all levels at the riding school both groups and privates. Carly has three favourite ponies – Micki and Rocko ‘cos they are good for cuddles and always want to be your friend’, and Zorro ‘ cos he can be very cheeky but also very loving’.
Duty ManagerAlly was born and grew up in Zimbabwe. Her riding inspiration came from encouragement from her Mom who aspired to ride as a child but was not able to. Ally started riding aged 5 and had her first pony at age 12. Ally competed extensively at top level in show jumping in both Zimbabwe and Kenya and has competition experience in dressage and eventing at lower levels. Ally holds a FEI Level 1 Coaching qualification and her UKCC Level 2 Coaching qualification. Ally teaches advanced levels at the riding school. Her favourite pony is Rocko – ‘he tries so hard to please’.
Senior Yard StaffAlenka is a local from Northampton. Alenka has always loved horses since she was young and aspires to interact and work with them. Alenka holds her NVQ Level 2 in horse care and is currently studying for her Level 3. Her favourite pony is Joey ‘cos he is a cheeky pony’.
Junior Instructor / ApprenticeSavanna was born in South Africa and came to UK when she was 8 years old. Savanna has always liked horses. She is training for her Level 2 NVQ in Horse Care with Haddon, and plans to continue onto Level 3 and work through the UKCC Teaching certificates. Savanna has been riding since she was 6 years old and competes in the summer months on her own horse ‘Houdini Jack’. Savanna teaches Novice levels and those riders needing a confidence boost. Her favourite pony is Bam Bam – ‘he is cheeky’.
InstructorKiera is originally from Bradford. Kiera started riding with her best friend when she was 4 years old and never stopped – her mom was very horsey. Kiera is a very experienced rider who has had her own ponies and helped back and break her friends’ ponies. Kiera has competed in low level shows in show jumping, dressage and cross country. Kiera has been teaching for 4 years. Kiera teaches novice groups and privates to all levels. Her favourite horse is Winston – ‘ he is different and he is a challenge’.
